In 1972 Rytons was formed.  We originated in London and started with just two products educating architects and builders on the benefits of natural ventilation – even before Building Regulations!

In 1980 we relocated to rented offices in Kettering, Northamptonshire.  Why Kettering?  It’s always had easy access to good link roads taking you north, south, east and west.

In 1984 we moved to 5000 square feet office and warehouse space in Kettering.  Initially we had so much space we didn't know what to do with it but that soon changed with the rapid expansion of our product range, sales team and office staff. 

In 1990 Rytons was the first company to move onto Kettering Business Park.  The 25000 square feet warehouse and office space was purpose built to our specifications and we are still happy here today.

In our history of over 30 years we are proud to say

Our product range of 2 is now over 250!  And apart from a few ancillary items they are all ventilators.

We invented the first cavity ventilator, Rytons Slim Vent Minor®, which is still going strong today!

We invented the first purpose made weep, Rytons Weep Hole Duct, to overcome having to leave unsightly and uneven open perpends above lintels.

We were the first ventilation manufacturer in the UK to have a technical web site with data sheets to download.

Have you spotted our smiley?  This has been a signature symbol of our Managing Director, Roger Irwin, for many years and since 1997 has appeared somewhere on all our brochures, letterheads, information sheets and promotional material.  It has no hidden meaning it's just a happy face.
